Jim Rohr is President of Jim Rohr and Associates LLC, (JRA)…a Business Consulting Firm located in Houston Texas. Stena is one of the largest maritime companies in the world, operating bulk, VLCC tankers, high speed ferries, drill rigs and oilfield support vessels around the world. Stena is Chevron’s principal carrier of crude oil.
Prior to Universe, Jim was the Vice President of Supply Chain for a large multi-national manufacturing company, Friede Goldman Halter. There, Jim managed a “billion dollar supply chain” for 24 national and international shipyards and product companies. Over the last 25 years, Jim owned several companies including a leading commercial aluminum fabrication company, an engineering firm and a product development firm. He has served in several executive positions for companies including VP of Engineering for a leading construction firm, General Manager of a Ford engine manufacturing company, and General Manager of new product development company, to name a few. Lastly, Jim was the past Chairman of the NSRP “Business Process and Technology Panel” for the U.S. Shipbuilding Industry...an industry coalition created to work with the U.S. Navy and Washington policy makers on research and programs affecting the U.S. Shipbuilding Industry. Jim is very familiar with international trade and has negotiated in Sweden, Norway, Italy, Chile, Netherlands, England, Scotland, Japan and China. He maintains trading partners in some of these countries. These broad experiences provide JRA with a unique set of capabilities you can use in your business today.
