The Passport to the World summer program features a different country each week from around the world. Students will learn aspects of each country’s customs, geography, history, lore, and most especially, their art. Each week features a guest presenter with in-depth knowledge of the featured country. They share a cultural presentation with the class, providing a true glimpse into the customs and cultures of the country. This is a favorite part of each week when students learn about learn from a musician or a chef, about a specific country.

Our in-person, summer classes are project-based and designed to help our students thrive in a safe environment. Students will learn the elements of art with lessons that challenge them to think creatively while incorporating literacy, numeracy and art history.

Classes are held at our Main Studio, located within the Women’s Home Mabee Whole Life Center in east Spring Branch.

• The Primary age group includes students ages 8-11.  You will select which weeks your student will be attending, each week the classes will be held every day Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
• The Secondary age group includes students ages 11-18. You will select which weeks your student will be attending, each week the classes will be held every day Monday-Friday from 1:30 – 3:30 PM.
